ELF FANTASY FAIR

Well we have arrived back from Holland having attended the Elf Fantasy Fair. This was a fantastic event covering a great variety of fantasy and gothic themes. It was set in the stunning grounds of the Castle de Haag near Utrecht.
Fairy Finesse had a stall selling our fairy wings, tutus, wands, dresses and other magical clothing. Having travelled all the way there loaded up with fairy goodies plus three kids and my ever tolerant husband I was slightly apprehensive as to whether it was a good idea on my part. However we did really well selling loads of wings to some lovely people. Sales surpassed my expectations so I was a very happy fairy.
The whole event had a lovely feel to it and the people couldn't of been friendlier despite my appalling lack of dutch.
I now have the busy task of making loads more wings for the upcoming festivals in this country I just need a little sprinkling of fairy magic to give me more time.

2008 A Fairy Filled Year

Well already the year is off to a flying start. I have been busy designing new wings, some really lovely ones in new shapes/fabrics and techniques. I have also been working on new longer length fairy tutus and a new mermaid tutu. I am also hoping to be able to launch a new range of fairy headdresses this year although even with some magic from the fairies these are not working out just yet!

I have already started applying for stalls at various festivals and events. We shall once again be attending the balloon and kite festival in Chelmsford in September. I am hoping to attend a very large mystical event abroad in April but have yet to have confirmation so will hopefully be able to confirm very soon.

We have applied for a magical kingdom pitch at the 3 Wishes Faery Fest in Cornwall in June. July is earmarked for us to hopefully attend a large music festival but have not heard if we have been accepted to trade yet so can't release these details.

Other events will be added as soon as possible but if you know of a suitable event for the fairies to visit please do shout...

The fairy birthday parties are proving very popular and I have already attended some lovely ones this year. I have some more booked but still have spaces so if you know a little fairy who would love the fairies to entertain her and her fairy friends on her special day please do contact us for further details.

Festive Round Up

At last I have finished all the Christmas events I was trading at. Sunday 2nd December was spent at Capel Manor in Enfield, this proved be a good event with a high turnout despite attrocious weather on the day.

Another bad day for weather was Thursday 6th December when we were trading in Maldon High Street at their Victorian Late Night Shopping. The rain and wind beat us and blew both our gazebo and our stock everywhere. Added to that various problems with lack of parking I was not a happy fairy and packed up early and went home.

It was with some misgivings that we set out the following Thursday to once again be part of the Victorian Shopping Event, however this time the weather although really cold was not wet and windy. We also had an improved trading postion so it was turned out to be a good event, with plenty of fairy tutus being sold.

CAPEL MANOR, ENFIELD - CHRISTMAS CAROUSEL SUNDAY 2ND DECEMBER

The wings will be flying once more to Capel Manor in Enfield for their Christmas Carousel event next Sunday. The fun starts at 10am until 5pm and there will be lots to see and do including

National Trust Christmas Gift Fair

This is the one we very nearly didn't make it to due to my youngest being very poorly. However at last minute my lovely husband somewhat reluctantly stepped in for the Saturday and despite it being bitterly cold, he managed to sell loads of fairy bits and actually quite enjoyed himself!

I went on the Sunday along with my mum and I think weather wise we got the better part of the deal. Tutus were the hot seller but several adult fairy dresses were sold so if you see fairies flying into a party in Sussex it could be our customers.

Pirate & Fairy Party

Last Saturday afternoon was spent at a lovely pirate and fairy party. The birthday girl looked fabulous in her pirate outfit as did all the other guests. We had great fun playing a range of pirate games and of course a treasure hunt. Every pirate made a wonderful pirate hat and feasted on pirate goodies at the Captains Table.

A really lovely bunch of children who all behaved amazingly well and throughly enjoyed the party.
